Thank you for choosing to stay with us at Slabtown Village. Because Slabtown Village is an unconventional hotel, please read the policies carefully to ensure an optimum experience. By booking a reservation on our website, you agree to abide by our terms and conditions outlined below.
PAID IN FULL AT BOOKING
Slabtown Village collects payment for your entire stay at the time of booking as the deposit. Any funds due back to your credit card account for cancellation may take 4-15 business days to process. Additionally, your financial institution may have a contracted amount of time before the funds are released back to you, which can take up to 15 business days. If you have a special request regarding payment at the time of booking, please give us a call and we might be able to accommodate it. The charge to your card will appear on your statement under the name of our credit card processor "STRIPE".
CHECK-IN
Check-in time is any time after 3:00pm. We may be able to accommodate an earlier arrival, although there is no guarantee. We can sometimes make arrangements to store your luggage prior to your room becoming available. In advance of your check-in date you will receive a secure keycode to enter your unit from the booking manager. Guests will occasionally be required to present a valid credit/debit card upon check-in along with a valid form of identification if a manager is on-site. Slabtown Village will make every effort to honor special requests. Slabtown Village reserves all rights to refuse service to any guest of the hotel who does not follow or comply with hotel policies.
CHECK-OUT
Check-out is at 11:00 AM. If you require a later check-out, please contact us before 5:00 PM on the day prior to departure, and we will do our best to accommodate your request, depending on availability. A charge may apply.
RATES
Rates are based on a two-person occupancy, except for houses designed to sleep additional guests.

13.3% lodging tax is added to all reservations (City of Portland: 6%, Multnomah County: 5.5%, State of Oregon: 1.8%.)
All tiny house reservations require a valid credit card.

PARKING
Our hotel does not have reserved on-site parking and street parking is free but time limited M-Sat. Guests requiring parking are provided parking passes that exempt them from parking time limits for the duration of their stay. Please request passes prior to arrival. If you need longer-term parking there are several lots nearby at: NW Pettygrove between 20th & 21st (closest) and 1543 NW Overton. You can see parking lot specifics online at: www.citycenterparking.com.
With the neighborhood's excellent walkability and all of Portland's alternative transportation options, including the Portland Streetcar and BIKETOWN one block away, it's easy to enjoy your stay car-free at this location.
WAIT LIST
Slabtown Village maintains a wait list for nights that are fully booked. To be placed on the wait list, email us at info@slabtownvillage.com and include the following: your phone number, arrival and departure dates, number in your party, and whether you’re traveling with individuals under 18. If a home becomes available we will contact the person at the top of the list, which may include a response time limit, after which we will contact another guest.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Should you need to cancel your reservation, we require seven (7) days advance notice for a full refund. Refunds will not be granted for no-shows or failure to cancel your reservation. If you cancel within less than seven days prior to your scheduled arrival, a refund will be granted for the night(s) that Slabtown Village is able to rebook the home. If Slabtown Village is unable to rebook the home, a refund will not be granted and you will be charged for all of the nights of your cancelled reservation.

ACCESSIBILITY
Our homes, specifically the tiny houses, are unique and different from standard buildings (steep stairs, for example) and are not wheelchair friendly. Because of these arrangements, we encourage you to carefully read the description of each home on our website. By making a reservation at Slabtown Village, you acknowledge and accept that our houses are atypical structures, are not wheelchair accessible, and may present hazardous conditions and / or risks including but not limited to:

Narrow, steep ladders/stairs and open loft ledges

Low ceilings in loft areas
PETS
Slabtown Village does not allow pets. Because we are sensitive to the needs of guests with allergies, guests with unauthorized pets will be responsible for any charges to cover additional required laundry and/or cleaning. Service animals are allowed at no extra cost. Please let us know if you have a service animal, so that we can provide you with appropriate linens.
HOUSEKEEPING
Linens and towels are included with each house, daily maid service is not included. If you should need anything refreshed (coffee, towels, toilet paper) during your stay, please contact us at 503-908-9081.
SMOKING
Smoking of any kind is prohibited in all of our units as well as on the grounds of the hotel. If you choose to smoke, you’ll need to go outside of the property gate. This ensures that other guests can have a smoke-free environment, especially those who opt to leave their windows open. Please dispose of your cigarette butts in the designated receptacles and not inside the tiny houses. A $300 cleaning fee will be applied for smoking, of any kind, inside a tiny house.

QUIET HOURS
10pm - 7am The city of Portland requires that noise be significantly reduced after 10pm, besides it's good behavior for other guests and our neighbors. This is a hotel, where people expect to have a good night's sleep.
CANDLES
Due to fire hazard, burning candles are not permitted inside the tiny houses.
AGE RESTRICTIONS
Guests must be 18 years or older to check in without a parent or legal guardian.
PROMOTION POLICY
If you choose to take advantage of any promotions offered through Slabtown Village, please follow all restrictions associated with each offer. Management reserves the right to change or cancel promotions, but will honor those booked within the promotional period.
NO IN-ROOM PARTY POLICY
Unless your group has reserved the entire hotel, Slabtown Village enforces a NO IN-ROOM PARTY POLICY. This ensures we can protect the hotel and our guests at all times. In the event of a disturbance, a warning will be given. However, if this warning is not honored and a second complaint is received, the guest will forfeit all fees and must leave the hotel immediately.
AMENITIES
The amenities vary from from each unit to unit, so be sure to check each listing for exact offerings. All houses include heat and A/C. Televisions are included with local channels and Netflix. Bedding and linens are provided (including any needed for temporary beds, folding couches and day beds if applicable). Bathrooms include a sink, flushing toilet, stand-up shower, shampoo/conditioner, soap, hairdryer and towels. Kitchen features include a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, dishes, glasses, coffeemaker, hot water kettle, can/bottle/wine opener, coffee, tea, and silverware. Hot plates, irons, and ironing boards are available by request.
The hotel does have free Wi-Fi so if you have a computer or tablet you are welcome to stream movies or other video.

DAMAGES POLICY
Damage to hotel property – We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying damage, caused by the deliberate, negligent or reckless act of the guest to the hotel’s property or structure. Should this damage come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guest’s credit / debit card, or send an invoice for the amount to the registered address. We will however make every effort to rectify any damage internally prior to contracting specialists to make the repairs, and therefore will make every effort to keep any costs that the guest would incur to a minimum.
REMOVAL OF HOTEL PROPERTY
We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of replacing any items that are removed from the premises by them without consent. The charge will be the full replacement amount of the missing item, including any carriage charges. Should the fact that the item is missing come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guests credit/debit card, or send an invoice for the amount to the registered address.

AUTHORIZATION
We reserve the right to ask for government-issued photo ID and credit card authorization to confirm identity on any booking. All same-day bookings will need these verifications.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
LIABILITY
Now, the really fine print.
FORCE MAJEURE
Slabtown Village accepts no liability and will not pay any compensation where the performance of its obligations is prevented or affected directly or indirectly by or as a result of force majeure or any circumstances beyond its reasonable control including, but not limited to, flood, earthquake, extreme adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, other acts of God, acts of terrorism, fire or failure of electric power, gas, water, or other utility service, plant machinery, computers, vehicles or any collapse of building structures.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Slabtown Village will not be responsible for the loss or damage of any property left in a tiny house other than as required under Oregon law. Slabtown Village will not be liable for any indirect, consequential loss or pure economic loss (whether caused by the negligence of the Company, its employees, contractor or agents or otherwise). Slab town Village's total liability shall not exceed the value of the Contract.
Nothing contained in these terms and conditions may be read or construed as excluding any liability for death or personal injury caused by Slabtown Village's negligence or liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. These terms and conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Oregon, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
Slabtown Village is not liable for any personal injuries resulting from staying in or using Slabtown Village. The signer indemnifies and holds Slabtown Village harmless against any and all such claims, including attorney’s fees incurred in defense of such claims.
