When John Jendritza and Grant Norling bought three tiny Victorian homes on NW Overton Street four years ago, it was for the primary purpose of solidifying office space for their psychologist wives.
After four years of watching nearby historical buildings get razed and replaced with new high-rises, we were pressured to do the same—but decided to go a different route. We wanted to uphold the history of our neighborhood, but also allow for the opportunity to expand. The answer: tiny homes to complement the existing ones, creating a unique hotel solution.
A solid year of development, city meetings, planning, permitting and several aching muscles later, Slabtown Village was launched in April, 2018.
We are happy to bring our concept to the neighborhood and love being a part of Northwest Portland as neighbors and small-business owners!
Please reach out to us if you want to chat. It is our priority to be available and connected to the Slabtown neighborhood as much as we can!
